I recently got a Gameshark v1.3 and noticed it was not the kind I had owned before years ago and in trying to use codes for Playstation 1 I see that they even use a different number of digits for it.

I wanted the Gameshark primarily for Playstation games and am wondering if there is some way to use it for them or at very least figure out what kind of Gameshark I would need for a Playstation 1 as the website doesn't mention any such products at all anywhere that I can find. I remember that the one we used to have came with a plug in device you would use in the memory card port when playing a game and had lists of codes for both Playstation 1 and 2 on CD.

If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

If your trying to cheat via cheat device for play station 1 games then your stuck with using Older game sharks made by InterAct. The current game sharks cheat devices will only work on ps2 games! The current owners is MadCatz Inc. who was only given the website rights! So they had to come up with a new system. All this is explained in this thread (link provided here).

In short your stuck with non-MadCatz Game Shark 2 products!
