Remember the GBA Game Shark SP software needs to installed on your computer for it to detect. Then you need to plug both ends of the cable in the proper extension slots, one to computer and other to your GBA with a Game Pak inside. Then turn on your GBA letting it load to the Game Shark codes data base and run the software on the PC. It should detect it.

Please make sure that you are using the same USB port that you first used and that you also make sure that you have the latest updates (patch) that is located here: http://forums.gameshark.com/index.php?showtopic=26

As stated by "gameboysp1" you need to insert the cable in the correct port (that being EXT 1) on the back of your Nintendo Unit (GBA or GBASP or GBAMicro or DS or DSLite).

I have noticed that sometimes the cable will not be detected if your using Windows XP SP3. If you are using this then you will need to keep connecting it are reconnecting it. For some reason it does that. However it does eventually connect! If it freezes than turning off your Nintendo Unit and disconnecting the cable and force killing (control+ALT+Delete then choose end program for the Sharkport) and then trying again will give cause it to not freeze next time! I think the reason why it is doing this is because of the SP3. Sometimes you may have to try a different usb port but it is best to just use the same port!

It's alright after all that is what Support is for ;)

I will now lock this. Should you have problems with the same issue please PM a "Global Moderator" and that person will be happy to reopen it so you don't have to create a new thread.

Thanks and have a nice day :kewl:
