LOL, that guy has probably been in the Item World ever since its release in Japan to do that much damage. Or he's modified the stats since he most likely works for Nipon Ichi...

Disgaea once again does a great job with their voice actors. Though Mao's laugh isn't anywhere as cool as Laharl's....
Oh, and apparently Mao's english voice actor is the same as Edward Elric's.
Almaz's english voice actor is Johnny Young Bosch, the same voice actor for Ichigo from Bleach and Nero from Devil May Cry 4.

As usual, I'll play with the Japanese VO first, then on the next playthrough I go with the English VO.

I won't buy all the characters. I didn't care too much about Adel's siblings (rarely used them) for one. If I have no plans to use them, I probably won't DL them (unless they're free of course)....

Yeah, I imagine it would still be well intact ^_^ Have to play the game to know how good it is though. Game should have shipped to retailers on Monday (the 18th), so I don't expect it'll be late at all. By the way, am I the only one who liked Disgaea 2's opening more than 3's? I mean sure, 3's opening sums up how quirky and funny the Disgaea series is, but it just lacks something...

I got the CD and it's pretty cool.
But when I pre ordered Little Big Planet, I got the Kratos code on a card. When I tried to peel back the sticker to get the cde, it **** ripped the card and the code is unreadable... ****!!!!!

Not really a spoiler and you might already know this but the Dark Assembly stuff is done in the Classroom. It took me forever to figure that out.
Right now, I'm on the 2nd chapter (of 8, right?). My friend in my dorm says the gameplay is confusing. And this is coming from an RTS player. LOL

But I love it. Mao is like a crazy scientist and Almaz is so wimpy yet funny.

Kinda hard for me (and other Disgaea Veterans) to think of Disgaea gameplay as 'confusing', but I guess to an outsider, it might look (deceptively) complicated....

Just put your main characters at the top of the list.

It kinda gets tiring that the game has so many 'meh' classes. Adds variety, but it is really only good on paper, excluding those that like some of the less useful classes. Prinnies and Sprites come to mind >_>

BTW: Looking at the Disgaea Wiki, I don't see a mention of the Majin? Does that mean there is no Majin? Say it ain't so!

The reason why I usually make all these characters is to get the other ones. Then after I unlock my desired class, I delete them.

Well, while looking up on how to get the Ninja and Samurai classes, I saw how to unlock the Majin.
Apparently, you have to "beat the tutorial through twice." Whether that means that you'll get it after your second play through and beat the tutorial again or something else is beyond me.

Yeah, but you know what is sad? The majin only has 80% aptitude for stats. WTF? Heard they have good evilities, but they'd have to be insanely awesom to justify so much dumbing down >_>

Whew! Ch 3 is a toughie. I was grinding my characters for the past week and eventually I beat it (as a result though, I'm like, 7 levels higher than I should be, lol.).

Um dood....Am I ALREADY ahead of you? I got the game on Thursday (started playing around 4PM, on account of the interview and stuff).....I'm about halfway through CH 5, I think....

Some level grinding + leveling up an item (that is really above my character's ability). I'm now powerful enough to get through the next couple of chapters, no prob. The item in question, well, I nearly beat the 10th floor, but I didn't pay close enough attention to the enemy level up effect, and the last character pwned my full HP Mao >_> I hightailed it to the exit with my last character....Beat both item bosses though, so that is good....

My only problem, is all the investment with weapons (most recent acqusition, was 380K+ HL sword, which isn't as good as a level 20 sword several ranks below it) is that my defence items are mostly mediocre (get some good items and stuff, from item world treasure chests, some of them armor, which is good)....NOTE: Chapter 5, area....2 I think? It'll be an area where they can call reinforcements....Good place to get EXP (EXP + 50% on subsequent visits)....Can just wait for enemis to come, combine them if you like (more HL bonuses that way), then when you're done, finish off with a geo-change bonus....I get 60K HL or so, per visit....Only takes a couple/few turns.

Yeah, I've been behind on my Disgaea because I agreed to co-own/buy MGS4 with a friend who loves the series. It's a good game and we just got done beating it.

Last night, I bought a sword that costed me around 720K HL. Leveled up the sword I mentioned in the last post another 10 levels (so it is now maxed out at level 30, since it is a normal item), Yeah, it is a bit more powerful than this new sword.

I need to focus on getting more defense items >_> My weapons are very good, but my defense is somewhat lacking (i've found so good ones, as I have mentioned)......

Dunno how much post-game stuff I'll do though....Have to go through a lot of trouble to get things like staticians >_<

There's still no add-ons in the PSN...
I wonder how long it took Japan to get theirs.

Well, I breezed through chapter 7, which I got to about 10 or more game hous before XD I have been item worlding a lot >_>

Yeah, I basically PWNED em without trying.

Got a bit stuck on CoO3 or so, the tower area. Going to try again sometime. (got a couple ideas).

Some glitches. Namely that enemies randomly stop moving/attacking. This is mosty in the Class (Passing bills). It was a saving grace, allowed my (at the time) level 266 mao and co to beat a level 1000 Legendary rep XD

Course, it helps that Mao (and co) have some good leveled weapons. Mao's attack is over 20K now I think? Has no problem beating enemies 2x his level (he is about level 340 now).

I kinda screwed myself by using all my mana by upgrading all of my character's evility(sp).
So now I have to kill a buck of things in order to make any good characters or pass bills...

Meh, just farm levels, and the mana will come. Or even just go through some Item world levels.

Mao had over 10K Mana before I knew it XD

In the Item World, after leveling up my weaker characters I decide to visit the Mysterious Room and buy some stuff. I talk to an archer once and then twice. On the second time, she says something like "I'm going to take you home!!" and everyone attacks me. The weakest one was 1000 levels stronger than my strongest character and I got my ass handed to me and lost all those levels

Also yes, there are a number of DLC characters, Zetta and Pram being two of them I think. Pram for sure. On the JP store, there is like.....12 or something characters >_> I don't really care for getting ANY of them, to be honest.....Unless they have some major good stats and % aptitudeds....
