Full Version: FF12 codes for GS 2 V 1.2 or is it 5?

Okay, I need a bit of advice. I have the gameshard 2 V 1.2 disc for PS2. The one that says 60k codes and has the shark and the ad for codes for Guitar Hero.

I looked at all the posts having to do with codes for FF12 and they all have both upper and lower case letters. The only thing is, my version does not allow for lower case letters. Is this a current issue or a defective disc.

If it is normal, then are there codes other than the one's provided on the disk for Final Fantasy?

I feel if this is going to be a problem, then other codes for other games are not going to work since I can't in put lower case.

Please post any codes that will work with this version of Gameshark.

If your version is Broadband enabled then it is a supported version since it is one of the latest ones out there.

The codes that came with the disk (if any) is for the First version of FF12. If you have a greatest hits or collectors the codes may not work for it since it is not the same version. Since I don't have this version I am unable to tell you if any FF12 codes did come preloaded.

We only offer support for Game Shark 2 Version 3 or higher. Broadband is support even if your version says Version 1.1 or whatever it is at these days.

As for your issue with upper and lower case letters... Do you mean when you entering codes or the description?

Example:

Press R2 + Select to reset Time ------> this is the descriotion
76080980 00000000 ------------------\
D84C8915 0CA572D5 -------------------> these would be the codes
284E730C 0CA57A65 -------------------/

As for posting of the codes you can find the codes for the FFII for the first version (Game that is) here:
http://xs.gameshark.com/xploder/xploderui....meid=19538&vn=6

For FF2 for the first version (game that is) here: http://xs.gameshark.com/xploder/xploderui....meid=13981&vn=6

Both of these are for the MadCatz Game Shark 2 Version 1.1 or higher that is Broadband enabled!

Thanks for the imput, but I have the original Game. When I try to imput new codes, for example:

203162a8

I can not imput a lower case letter. I've been told that this changes the code if it can only be imputed with an upper case. I do have the original codes that came on the disk, but can not seem to add any new ones because of the upper/lower case letter config. So i'm wondering, is there a way to use lower case in my version of GS or do I need to go out and buy another version? Thanks

The reason why you are unable to input lower case letters is because the codes are NEVER in lower case letters  All codes are in upper case since it is not case sensitive ;)

So as to not sound redundant, a code like this that was posted on the forums:

Max Gill

20323d1c 1000000a

is really 20323D1C 1000000A ?

Yup

In all codes they be all upper case. Even when someone posts it as lower it can only be inputted as upper case

It's always been like this since I've been using MadCatz Products.

It is if it's not Broadband enabled!

So it your version Broadband enabled?

The reason why is because MadCatz did make a Game Shark 2 version 1.2 that is Broadband enabled. That is what we are supporting. Since it is part of the Game Shark 2 Version 5 series.

Depending on what version 5 you have. Version 5 is either Media Player OR Broadband enabled!

Ah I'm pretty sure it's the broadband one. It's the one with the shark and the Guitar Hero advertising on front. I'm sure it's V 1.2 and I believe the mem card says V5. It's the top choice option that you guys have when you're looking for codes on the main site. I hope that helps anyway. All the main codes that came with the disc work for me very well. I was pretty stuck with entering until I looked up the faq about L1/R1. I'm going to try that tonight and see if it works to manually add codes.

If you're asking about the code titles... they don't have to be word for word, but make sure you name them such that you recognize what they do... In the end it's the code entries themselves that matter.

I got the 999999 gil code and the infinite health codes to work on a new gamesave. Have you been able to attempt that? The codes continued working for me as far as I played into it... even after saving and then reloading it...

I also have GS 2 Version 1.3 with the guitar hero ad on it. But when i select all of the codes for my FFXII non-collector version (first disc version) i couldn't get any effect at all (like max gil, max LP). Could u help me please. I am really really appreciate it.
