i have a problem with my gamepad as im trying to install it in my pc, I downloaded the drivers and nothing it still says in the installation wizard that there is no driver for the gamepad,and i read that i need a program for the gamepad where can i get it? nothing came with the gamepad, or what can i do to install the gamepad in my pc?
i have windows xp , i have no problems with my usb i tried using my mouse and it worked in all of them fine, i donwloaded the drivers from here

Did you point to the downloaded xbox2pcdriver when installing?

The driver that you downloaded is not the proper one for your Controller. If you look at the title of it on the Drivers page it says "PC Driver for Xbox Controllers (NOT for Xbox 360 controllers, see FAQ section for more info)" It mentions to go to the FAQ Section. Once in there, you should click on "XBox 360" and then click on the fourth one down, which will be the link below.

This will have all the information you need to download the proper drivers which are actually made by Microsoft. Sorry for the confusion but if you get the drivers the way the FAQ shows you how, then the controller should work on your PC.
