On midnight of April 1, 2012, just past Toonami's 15th anniversary, Adult Swim, which generally changes its programming for April Fools' Day, began to play The Room (as they had done the past several years). But switched over to our dear old friend and long time block host TOM. Who introducing that week's scheduled episode of Bleach and Toonami-related programming and bumpers continued throughout the night, featuring Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, Outlaw Star, The Big O season 1, YuYu Hakusho, Blue Submarine No. 6, Trigun, Astro Boy, and Gigantor.

I gotta say it was awesome to see TOM and Toonami since September 20, 2008,on a side note CN has brought back Cartoon Planet with Brak and Zorak as hosts and airing some of CN's old schooler cartoons like johnny bravo,PPG,Dexter,Fosters, etc. Too bad toonami coming back was just for AFD..

I thought there was serious talk about reviving Toonami.
Or was that also part of the "prank"?

Weeks ago AS had a bumper that said something about Toonami, couldnt read it all as it went too fast. But it might have been about the AFD prank,it would be great if they are atleast considering bringing it back. AS is great and all but Toonami was the hub for almost all anime on CN. When it left,it left a void and alot of still running anime were dropped. AS tries but its mostly just reruns and if CN wants to please the fans and anime buffs they need to bring in new anime alot more instead of just filling it with reruns of ones that have been done for years...........how many times have they run trought Inuyasha and InuYasha: The Final Act has been out for awhile now...

Update.

Just saw another toonami AS bumper and its back, the date is 5\26\12.
