Need help with GameShark 2v5 Broadband Enabled

Hi, I have the North American version of GameShark 2v5 Broadband Enabled. I don't have online for the PS2 so I can't get Game Saves from the internet. I'm having trouble transfering a Game Save from my USB to my GameShark. What file format does it have to be in? I went to GameFaqs and download the Game Save and I plugged my USB into the PS2 and I went to the Game Save section of the GameShark and I pressed circle on the file of the Game Save to put it onto the memory card. I restart the PS2 and start the game, but when I try to load the game it won't let me. I need help please!
