I just bought and noticed that theres no usb cable or sharkport in the package. Is this normal? Can I still upload codes and gamesavs without it?

The current MadCatz Game Shark SP model for the GBA, GBASP, GBAMicro and DS/DSLite (as long as it is a GBA Game) does not currently come with the USB Cable and PC App. You can download the PC App (found on the GBA Patch page or this thread link) so you can get codes via online database. But you still need the correct cable. ONLY the older models came with it. Sorry but the MadCatz Store is NO LONGER Selling old models or the USB Cable! You'll have to try ebay or some other online store!

Yes you can still "upload codes" but only to your PC. You can not upload it to the MadCatz Game Shark SP because you still need a proper usb cable. You can input the codes manually.

If you are looking for the USB Cable then you'll need one that connects to "EXT.1" and is NOT used for power (charging), it must be ONLY a data cable. The reason for this is because the wires are different. By the way, good luck finding it because many people have been looking for it for years now and still have not found it! It is very hard to find!

I really feel like this is a wasted investment. I bought a gameshark for backing up and exchanging gamesaves. If I can't do that out of the box it's a dissapointment.

Well on the "box" it does not say it came with it after all, so don't be expecting it to. Sorry, but that is how it is!

The previous iterations came with cd and cable. It's only common sense to think this iteration includes them as well.

That would be true if it says that one the "box". Since it does not then you should not expect it to! Even on the online store it does not say anything about it comes with the USB Cable/PC App.

Thread locked since your problem has been solved. That being it the current model being sold never came with the USB Cable and PC App!
