PS3/PSP MEDIA MANAGER INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

I'm having a problem installing my PS3/PSP Media manager software to my PC desktop computer. After the software is installed and I register my software to activate it's features (I double check to make sure the product key is correct), an error pops up and says, "Application was not installed correctly on the PC. Please re-install the product again."

I reinstalled the software again several times and the same error continues to pop up. Is there an update for the software or am I doing something wrong? I'm currently running Windows XP version 2002 with Service pack 3 on a Pentium 4, 3.4 GHz with lots of memory if that means anything. Thanks for the help
