How do i access the media on the sd card after I have loaded it into the wii? I can't seem to find a menu option for it or anything like that.

The way you access your media on the SD Card is as follows:
1. When you first turn on your Wii, you see all the channels. At the bottom left corner of the screen is a "Wii" button. Click on it. Here is an image.

2. After that you should see a "Data Management" and "Settings" buttons. click on Data Management button. Here is an image.

3. The Data button is to access Wii internal memory or SD Card or Game Cube Memory card data. Remeber you will only see SD Card data or Game Cube Memory card data if they are inserted into the Wii. The Wii data tab is by default. You see all can be accessed from this page. Just click on the appropriate tab. Here is a image of Wii tab as default.

If the gamesave of Mario Kart Wii is from the game you have then you should not have a problem but if downloaded from the main Gameshark site then it could be that you are not using a Gameshark gamesave product for the Wii. An SD Card for Wii cannot manage the save from the site.
