I just got a GBA Gameshark, and the preloaded codes work great. But I looked on the codes section to find a code that would make wild pokemon appear shiny. First off, it requires a different Master code than the one preloaded in my Shark. I'm not sure which to use. Then, the Pokemon modifier codes are different than the preloaded ones as well.

I'm trying to get a shiny charmander in Sapphire. That's ALL. I've tried every combination of the codes I can think of and none of them work.

Please, PLEASE help :(

Edit:
It's this Gameshark:
http://www.gamestop....aspx?sku=801733
And I'm using a GBA SP.

Yes, thats the correct GameShark.
The Shiny codes must be entered as a new game entry. Do not add these codes to the standard code listing for the game as they will not work. Make sure all codes have been entered correctly.

If your GS came with the Sharkport CD and USB cable, I suggest downloading the latest code list as all Shiny codes are available and you'll rule out 'manual entry errors'.

Alas, so very close!

I followed your advice and added the codes under a new game. Still, only the pokemon modifier works- the shiny code does nothing.

Is it possible the codes on the website are outdated?

And no...unfortunately my GS didnt come with a USB cable, nor a CD :cry2:

Make sure the code is absolutely free from any typo, it only takes one error to render the code useless.

Providing you've entered all codes correctly the only answer I can provide is your game version must differ from the one used to create the codes.
Unfortunately until I obtain a copy of the version in question I'm unable to offer any other assistance.

Please make 100% sure that your product is the MadCatz Game Shark SP. If your product uses 12 digits per line then all the codes should work because it has been fully tested by me using all MadCatz Game Shark SP that has been released since MadCatz has owned the company.

When I test a code I test it from starting a new game to well beyond finished (became the champ and did some quests that you can only do once your the champ).

All codes will work only for the the MadCatz Game Shark SP and Pokemon Game and Nintendo Unit (GBA or GBASP or GBAMicro OR DS or DSLite). I own ALL of the systems except for the DSLite and have fully tested each code.

If your product is made by MadCat Inc. then make 100% sure that all digits are entered correctly. That means that if a code says it has more than 1 line then you need every line. Make sure that your using the correct "Master Code". The master code is the code used for the game title. The master code is the code that says "[M] Must be on".

If all codes are entered correctly then the only reason why the code is not working is because you have a different version (pokemon game) than the ones used by the Hacker to make the codes with and the one that I have fully tested the codes on!

Always remember that each digit needs to be correct. It only takes 1 for the code to not work and cause you game errors/glitches!

AND ALWAYS check to see if any notes are stated. Like "See note 1".

You can enter as many pokemon codes you want however only have one pokemon activated.

I have currently tested the codes, and they work to 100%.

Please be advised that the code lists with the name "Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby WPM#1" and "#2" are to encounter regular Pokemon and not shiny. The code lists with the name "Pokemon Ruby/Sapp SWPM #1" and "#2" are to encounter shiny Pokemon.

When using the codes, make sure not to activate more than 1 Pokemon or Level code, otherwise the codes won't work. The game version you have can be observed with the Game Freak logo at the game start-up. Version 1.0 will show "Game Freak" and Ver 1.1 "Game Freak Presents."

And as Omen and Felix has stated before, a single mistake can make the codes useless. The [M]Must Be On should be first in the list and on and rest of the codes follow.
Here is an example of using Pokemon Sapphire codes.
[M]Must Be On
Shiny Code
Max IV
Level 50
Bulbasaur

Thank you. But just so you know, the DS and DS lite is exactly the same build other then the DS lite having a better light on it. I have found no difference between them. I do have access to it but I just don't own it, it belongs to my niece and it's pink. She lives only 10 blocks away from me ;)
